WOD 1: SPLIT FINGER

All Athletes will be staged behind the start line. At 3, 2, 1, Go, all athletes will enter the workout area.  One athlete will begin doing repetitions of wall walks, one athlete will get on the rower, and the other will be resting.  Athletes can rotate at any time and in any order.  There can only be one athlete completing repetitions at a time and only one athlete on the rower at a time. The athlete resting must receive a tag in order to enter the workout floor.  If all repetitions are completed within the time frame, the remaining time will be spent on the rower with two non-rowing athletes remaining off the floor. 

Movement Standards:

WALL WALK: The rep begins and ends with the athlete lying down with her chest, feet, and thighs touching the ground. At the start of each rep, both hands must touch the tape line.  Both hands must remain on the tape until both feet are on the wall.  At the top of the movement, both hands must touch the tape line for the Majors Division before the athlete can descend.  Any part of the hand may touch the tape line.  On the descent, the feet must remain on the wall until both hands are touching the starting line.

SINGLE ARM DEVIL’S PRESS: The movement begins with the dumbbell on the ground.  Athletes will get their chest and thighs to the ground with the dumbbell to the side of the chest and one hand on the handle of the dumbbell.  From there, the athletes will get up, jumping or stepping up to her feet keeping a hand on the dumbbell.  The athlete will then take the dumbbell from its current position on the ground to overhead in one swift, continuous motion.  The repetition will be completed when the athlete has received the dumbbell overhead and is standing in a lockout position with the hips and knees fully extended. The next repetition begins by switching hands and placing the dumbbell on the ground again. Dumbbells may not be dropped at any time and must be set down on the ground.  When switching athletes, the dumbbell must be on the ground. If athletes receive a no-rep, a completed repetition must be completed again on the same side. 

BOX JUMP OVER: Both feet must start on the ground, and the athlete must jump to the top of the box using a two foot take-off and landing atop the box.  Only the feet may touch the box for the repetition to count.  Both feet must be on top of the box at the same time prior to getting off of the box.  The athlete must come down from the box on the opposite side that she started on but can face any direction.  Full extension atop the box is not required.  

TOES-TO-BAR: For the toes to bar the athlete must go from a full hang to having the toes touch the bar between the hands at the same time.  At the start of each rep, the arms must be fully extended with the feet off the ground. The feet must be brought back behind the bar and rest of the body at the start of each rep.  The athlete’s toes must make contact with the bar at the same time inside her hands.

CONCEPT 2 ROWER: Athletes can adjust the foot pads and/or the damper, but nothing else. The screen will start at 0m.

Scoring:There will be three scores for this event. Teams in each division will be ranked based on the time to complete the 20 wall walks, the distance on the rower in meters, and how long it takes to complete the entire chipper.
